Hindsight 20/20

It has been an exhausting year; lives were lost; dreams were dashed. Change is never easy, but it is necessary.

This chaotic year gave us some time to take a step back and reflect. We relooked at what our clients truly needed and, more importantly, why they needed it. And this will remain our North Star in 2021.

The pandemic moved many businesses online, forcing them to expand their digital footprint and social media presence. More than buzzwords, this will be the foreseeable future in marketing.

The world is not going to stop changing; in fact, it is going to change faster.

Adjusting to the New Normal

2020 taught us an important lesson; those who fail to keep up will fall out. Companies will need to cut through the clutter to stand out, and we can help you with that.

As a B2B service, we recognise that many companies are looking for digital marketing solutions.

The ever-shifting and opaque nature of social media mean that only committed practitioners will excel. Next year, we are sharpening our focus on learning and keeping up to date with all the relevant channels for our clients to create holistic marketing solutions online.

Technology Helped Us Transit Smoothly to Work from Home

It is our passion for technology that allowed us to survive 2020 unscathed.

Before the virus got a name, we regularly scouted for new platforms and digital solutions to improve our workflow. We began using remote working platforms such as Dropbox and Basecamp, and in late 2019 Slack became our primary communication tool.

When our Prime Minister announced the Circuit Breaker, we could smoothly transition to work-from-home measures because we had already explored these options.

The Importance of Trust

Next year, we will continue to keep an open mind to see how technology can help our clients.

Still, no technology can replace trust, which was the grease that allowed us to transit to working remotely. Trust is the goodwill we built among ourselves and with our clients. Trust will continue to be a pillar that sees us through good and hard times.

Sure, teething problems were trying to communicate and coordinate projects first, but because our trust in each other was strong, things worked themselves out.

That Marketing Guy Looks Back at 2020

We understand that not all businesses have survived this difficult time. Our Director Will Lee is now a PMC-certified consultant, and he looks forward to helping turn local companies, mainly SMEs, around with his experience.

As a team, we’ve actively upgraded our skills through courses. For example, our designers took up marketing classes to make them well-rounded professionals who understand the context behind their craft.

Next year, we will have a new emphasis on content and community. We will be on the lookout for new partners, clients and vendors to collaborate with to create more value together.

And yes, we won our first Marketing Excellence Award from Marketing Interactive.
